MSN Slide Max

A feature that instant messaging applications lack is the option to have slideshows or animations as your avatar. The MSN Slide Max application fixes this problem for MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger users. With this application by your side, you can replace the simple image you have as your avatar with a nice looking slideshow animation.

You can install MSN Slide Max on top of a 32 or 64-bit edition of Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7. To do so, you must go through a very simple setup process: download a lightweight, less than 1Mb executable; run that executable; follow the onscreen instructions a setup wizard presents.

MSN Slide Max interface is divided into two sections. At the top you have a section that allows you to add images, access the animation creator, start and stop the slideshow, and so on. Below it there’s a section that displays some sample animations as well as any new animations you create.

Speaking about that, the Easy Animation Creator, as its name so adequately points out, makes it very easy to create an animation slideshow that will be used as your Messenger avatar. The whole thing goes like this: select a picture, mark the first key frame, mark the last key frame, select the number of frames (10 maximum), let MSN Slide Max generate your animation.

Please note that MSN Slide Max is only free to try. The trial version, besides reminding you to get a license every time you launch the application, puts a watermark on the animations you create.
